A 35-year old man was arrested last night on Dame St., Dublin last night following a scuffle with staff in a nearby shop.
According to a report by Independent.ie, however, the man was dressed in a "pirate's costume" and produced "a sword and a gun" outside of the shop before he was subdued and arrested by Gardai.
The man, who has not been named, is understood to be still in police custody following the incident and is being held under the Offences Against The State Act, not for piracy or buccaneering.
