At last! A celebrity has had a baby and not named it after an inanimate object or a state or form of legume. Malin Akerman, she of Rock of Ages, Watchmen and Childrens Hospital, has given birth to a baby boy, and called him Sebastian. Yes, our first thought went to the crab from The Little Mermaid too, but at least it's an actual name.
The 'Rock of Ages' star and her rocker husband Roberto Zincone welcomed their first child yesterday, describing their new son Sebastian as the 'biggest joy' they have ever experienced.
She excitedly tweeted: 'My husband and I welcomed our beautiful, healthy baby boy to this world this morning! Biggest joy of my life!!! #lovemykid. (sic)' before adding: 'PS and his name is... Sebastian Zincone :))) Love him more than life itself!! #whatafeeling !!! (sic)'
The Swedish-born blonde revealed in September that she was expecting a child, and wouldn't be finding out the sex of the baby beforehand. Explaining that the couple had already picked out names for both a boy and a girl, she said at the time: 'That's done. We started that years ago and we finally came to an agreement for both sexes.'
Malin and Roberto - who was the drummer in her old rock band The Petalstones - have been married for six years and she claimed last year the secret to their marriage was to avoid arguments. She said; 'We rarely bicker. We'll sort of fume at each other and then we'll figure it out. We've had some really great experiences.'
