We've been waiting for this like water in a drought; Kristen Stewart has FINALLY answered a direct R-Patz split related question at an On The Road press conference at the Toronto International Film Festival. But before you get excited, she didn't say a whole lot.
When asked whether it will be awkward for her and her former boyfriend to promote the final installment of Twilight together in November, Kristen said: "We're going to be fine. We're totally fine."
That sounds like delusion talking if you ask me. In the grand scheme of things yes, you'll be fine; nobody died. In a matter of months the dissecting of your relationship status will no longer be regarded as a national sport. But we doubt if Rob would agree that you, as a pair, are 'totally fine'. Kristen also added that she'd never have missed this significant premiere because of the problems of her personal life. That or you weren't allowed to attend the VMAs which were held on the same night with Pattinson and the rest of the Twilight cast in attendance.
"We have been waiting for this thing to be unleashed for so long. It was sort of one of those situations where you just have to put yourself in your body and go appreciate the moment... I was a little nervous, obviously. I'm always nervous before a red carpet. [Especially since playing tonsil hockey with your Snow White director for all the world to see.] To be honest, I was just kind of telling myself, like, 'Just don't black out. Be there, don't just figuratively put your head down and barrel through it. Be there, appreciate it'... Luckily, very, very much I was able to do that."
She then referred to her fans as 'disarmingly amazing' for their continued support of both her movie and her love life dilemmas. While we're all very quick to jump on the anti-Kristen Stewart band wagon - it's just so much fun - I guess she does deserve some props for braving the unpredictable crowds since earning herself the title of the most hated woman in Hollywood. Also, with a smile on her face like the one above, this break up mightn't be doing her that much harm after all.
