Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey suffered a major fall from grace in recent years, after he was accused by multiple men of sexual assault.
The allegations affected his career to the extent that he was famously replaced in the 2017 film 'All the Money in the World' by Christopher Plummer (who went on to win an Oscar for his role as oil tycoon John Paul Getty.)
In recent weeks, Spacey has gone on trial in London after being accused of sexual assault by four men over the last twenty years.
However, yesterday - which was his 64th birthday - a jury found the 'Usual Suspects' star not guilty on all charges, leading many to believe that he intends to stage a comeback soon.
He cried as the verdict was read out, placing his hand on his chest and mouthing the words 'Thank you' to the jury.
Later, on the steps of the London court, he read a statement saying "I imagine that many of you can understand that there's a lot for me to process after what has just happened today. But I would like to say that I'm enormously grateful to the jury for having taken the time to examine all of the evidence and all of the facts, carefully, before they reached their decision. And I am humbled by the outcome today.
"I also want to thank the staff inside this courthouse, the security, and all those who took care of us every single day, my legal team... for being here every day and that’s all I have to say for the moment. Thank you very much.”
Production on British film 'Control' was on hold until the verdict in Spacey's trial was announced, but it is believed that he will join the cast imminently.
