It's certainly one of the most unexpected dating rumours we've heard in a while.
Age gap aside, however, you'd have to wonder how musician Kelis (42) and actor Bill Murray (73) even crossed paths in the first place.
However, the pair have supposedly been dating in recent months, according to reports that have emerged over the last few days, with Murray being spotted dancing to her set at the Mighty Hoopla festival last month. He was also seen watching another gig in London from the side of the stage.
Both Murray and Kelis have also sadly suffered bereavements in recent years, with Murray's ex-wife passing away in 2021 and Kelis's husband passing away after a battle with cancer last year.
A source told The Sun: "They’ve met up in the States before which got people in the industry talking, and now are meeting up in London while they’re both here. They’ve clearly hit it off. They were both seen at the same hotel, and he’s been to watch her perform several times before he went to Mighty Hoopla.
"But they’ve also both shared relatively recent bereavements and have that common bond between them. Whatever it is that has brought them together, and however unlikely it seems, they are both single and are having fun despite the fairly big age gap."
Now, Kelis has broken her silence on the rumours after a fan asked her directly on Instagram. However, her cryptic reply is a little hard to decipher.
After psting a picture of herself in a bikini, the fan asked Kelis: "‘Ma’am would you care to address these Bill Murray allegations?!? Cuz damn! What he doing with all that?!?"
The singer replied: "Lol no babe, I wouldn’t bother at all."
Whether she means that she wouldn't bother responding, or she wouldn't bother dating Murray is not clear.
Either way, the rumours have spawned some funny Twitter memes...
