He is one of the most popular actors in Hollywood since his renaissance with the 'John Wick' franchise and the various tales of his generosity and good nature that have been made public.
However, did you know that Keanu Reeves is also an accomplished musician?
Reeves is the bass player in Dogstar, and has been a part of the LA-based rock band since they formed in the early 1990s. They formed after Reeves met drummer Robert Mailhouse in a supermarket, and struck up a conversation about the hockey jersey that the latter was wearing.
They split in 2002 but recently reformed, and played their first public gig together in over two decades at the weekend. Reeves told Billboard recently how much he'd missed his bandmates, saying "I missed playing together, I missed writing together, I missed doing shows together. It’s something I’ve always missed. We came to a spot where we weren’t playing anymore, and I missed it … Once we started to play, and it felt good, and really positive and creative, that’s when it was like, ‘Okay, let’s make this happen.'"
There's also a new album on the way, as he revealed: "I think all three of us just said, ‘Well, if we’re going to do this, let’s make a record.'" The band had previously released two albums and an EP, the last of which was 'Happy Ending' in 2000.
The trio played the BottleRock festival in Napa Valley on Saturday, which you can see below:
