Going out into nature can be unpredictable at the best of times, which is what this group of kayakers discovered yesterday off the coast of New Zealand.
The group were out in the ocean just "trying to shoot cute seals", says film maker Taiyo Masuda. What Taiyo caught on camera though, was his poor friend Kyle taking the full smack of nature to the face. As you can see, a seal jumps out of the ocean, octopus in mouth, and the result has Kyle looking petrified.
Was it the seal's warning for the kayakers to leave his hunting ground, or was it a case of wrong place at the wrong time? People online are wondering the same question:

Either way, it makes for a great video. We just hope Kyle has gotten over the debacle and hasn't suddenly developed an irrational fear of seals, octopuses, kayaks, or water.
