When this story met my eyes, a sudden cold shiver ran through my body, along with a few sick mental images of an old lady waving around a feather boa and that McDonald's ad where the young lad returns to his old room in his parents house and finds them dressed in bondage gear while swinging from a pole. It's not right for these images to be running through my young, innocent mind, it's scarring for life, but I'd say it's a while lot worse for Katie Waissel.

It appears that her Nan is a prostitute. According to the 3am ladies, Shiela Vogel has disgraced the Waissel family and has even been banished. Katie only found out recently and the story is now public knowledge. In need of comfort, Weasel went running to mentor Cheryl Cole and sobbed on her shoulder, seeing as she has plenty of experience on how to deal with outrageous family members. A close friend of Katie said the X Factor contestant had the following to say about her and Chezza's one on one time: "I felt so much better afterwards, Cheryl was brilliant. She gave me the strength to carry on in the competition. She was telling me about when things happened in her own career - when stories were written about how her brother was in prison and how it is very hard to cope with. She knows how it feels to have negative attention and her advice was fantastic. I was very upset but she made me feel more confident. After speaking to Cheryl there was no way I would quit, I'm going to fight to show everyone I deserve my place here." So you keep saying. Every week.

In other news, we all know about the on going campaign to get Wagner to win X Factor and now Strictly Come Dancing fans have opted to keep Ann 'two left feet and no rhythm' Widdecombe in the running to get the dancing trophy. Today, The Sun has 'revealed' that the pair really are set to win both their respective shows. According to sources, both Ann and Wagner are pulling in massive amounts of votes leaving them in the top three each week. Of course, if this is true, it means more money for the TV company which in turn makes Simon, and whoever owns Strictly, a lot of money, keeping them happy.

Here's Pete Waterman to explain the obvious: "Simon is laughing all the way to the bank - it's not about music, it's about TV. Wagner is pulling in ratings, which are huge. And that's where the money is." This can be proven by looking at last weekends viewing figures for each show. X Factor received 17.7 million viewers while Strictly had 12.8 million, these figures are the second highest for each show. In relation to the bookies odds, Ann is currently standing/ wobbling at 7/1 to win and Wagner's odds are 12/1 and should you want to combine the two, you can get 66/1 for both to win *legs it to the bookies*
