He's been waiting for an Oscar forever (he's only had six nominations). Kate Winslet would never miss the moment he finally wins (because her Steve Jobs co-star Michael Fassbender hasn't got a look in for Best Actor...)
Speaking of the Oscars boycott during the launch of her new film Triple 9, the actress chronicled the reasons why she should attend: "To be honest with you it has been such an extraordinary year for women I'd feel like I was letting my side down if I didn't go. And also I feel very strongly that it may possibly be Leo's year, and he is my closest friend in the world and I just couldn't imagine not being there to support him. And I think those are reasons enough really to show my face."
She's also up for an Oscar herself, she's been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Joanna Hoffman in Steve Jobs.
