Now depending on who is doing the talking here, this was either a very serious incident or a case of Kanye West just freaking out over a headache, but either way he apparently spent time with his head inside an MRI machine yesterday after he was reportedly rushed to hospital in Melbourne over fears that he could have been having a seizure.
West is Down Under on the Australia leg of his 'Yeezus' world tour, and played in Melbourne last night following his emergency trip to Epworth Hospital in Richmond. Also allegedly present in the hospital at the time was one Lorraine Terry who told Australia's Woman's Day magazine: 'My daughter was having an MRI. Shortly after it began, security burst in and cleared the area.'
'Everyone was moved out of the waiting and consulting rooms. We were the only ones left apart from doctors and nurses - we couldn't leave as the MRI wasn't finished. Next thing we knew, Kanye was stretchered in surrounded by security. He had one side of his face covered with something white. Everyone was massively panicked. And they were very nervous about making sure the area was completely clear.'
Now other sources are playing down the whole affair, and to be honest we're leaning towards maybe Kanye being a bit jet lagged and maybe 'burning the candle at both ends' as our mothers would say. According to Just Jared, Kanye just had a really bad migraine after playing some basketball and that's what prompted the visit. TMZ reported that he was in and out in no time when doctors determined there was nothing serious going on.
The lengths you have to go to to get some codeine/painkillers in Australia are clearly way more intense than they are over here.
