Looks like JT is putting the band back together, as reports suggest Justin Timberlake will reunite with *N Sync at the MTV Video Music Awards this weekend.
Justin is set to surprise audiences by inviting his former bandmates - Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick - on stage when he performs at the awards ceremony on Sunday. According to the New York Post, the group will come together for the first time in over a decade to celebrate Justin receiving the reflective Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for his contributions to the music industry. The 32-year-old star is expected to perform some of his biggest solo hits and will also pay homage to his seven-year career with the multi-platinum selling boy band.
Ahead of their reunion, Justin's former bandmates are said to have been seen together in the VIP area at his 'Legends of the Summer' concert with Jay Z in Miami last week, where they joined his wife, Jessica Biel, and mother, Lynn Harless.
*N Sync launched in 1995 and enjoyed worldwide success at the height of their fame between 1998 and 2002, including a string of hits such as 'Tearin' Up My Heart', 'It's Gonna Be Me' and 'Girlfriend'. At the pinnacle of their success, the teen heartthrobs - who were created by Backstreet Boys manager Lou Pearlman - sold a staggering one million copies of their album 'No Strings Attached' in a single day.
The group quietly went on a hiatus in 2002 but never reunited. That same year, Justin began his successful solo career with debut album, 'Justified'. We're crossing everything for a medley and a Britney reference. Even matching denim outfits will do.
