Piers Morgan should know better than to go after the Monty Python legend.
But then, we've never really rated Morgan for his intellect so he deserves it.
John Cleese fired off two tweets aimed at Piers Morgan this afternoon after Morgan included their non-interaction in a column that targeted Cleese in the biggest non-story ever.
Piers Morgan writes that I didn't recognise him in a restaurant in New York.I did.I just didn't want to speak to someone I truly detest

Anyway,I thought he was in jail after admitting he'd authorised phone-hacking at the Daily Mirror.Still, our Briish legal system works slowly

Of course Piers had a go almost instantly, referring people and Cleese to his Daily Mail column (because of course Piers Morgan has a column in the Daily Mail). Because gunning for a fight is all he can do for attention these days.
No, @JohnCleese, I said you DID recognise me & the revulsion was mutual. Here's the column: https://t.co/72orbo7vno https://t.co/gj4ieSzvNk

PS. when are you going to be funny again @JohnCleese? It's been a few decades.

Hey, at least he admitted Cleese was funny.
