JK Rowling is having none of suggestions that she once indulged in a petty revenge against Stephen Fry. Or that Fry would ever be condescending for that matter.
The author responded to a story that's been doing the rounds on the Twitter that she deliberately put a line that Fry (who narrated the series on audiobook) found difficult to say in several of the Harry Potter books because he was once condescending to her.

Although Rowling admits it's a good story, it's as much a work of fiction as the Harry Potter books.
Good story, but it isn't true! @stephenfry wasn't condescending, he was completely lovely, and that phrase isn't in 4 books! #factsmatter https://t.co/yHNjaBwjPJ

The now debunked story, first surfaced online over a year ago when a Reddit user posted that they'd attended an event that Fry was speaking at where he divulged the story.
