Indeed it has all been happening overnight...
Here's a brief summary of events according to BuzzFeed: a number of celebrities have allegedly had their devices hacked, with personal photos appearing on image-based bulletin board 4chan. Celebrities allegedly affected include Michelle Keegan, Kelly Brook, Victoria Justice, Kate Upton, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Mary Kate Olsen, Ariana Grande and Jennifer Lawrence.
While spokespeople for the likes of Grande have said "the photos are completely fake", and Victoria Justice releasing tweets such as the below, Lawrence's publicist released this statement to BuzzFeed via email:
"This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence."
These so called nudes of me are FAKE people. Let me nip this in the bud right now. *pun intended*

Not all the photos are fake, however, with these tweets coming from actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead
Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this. Feeling for everyone who got hacked.

To those of you looking at photos I took with my husband years ago in the privacy of our home, hope you feel great about yourselves.

A hacker (who reportedly managed to collate his find thanks to an iCloud leak) on 4chan has claimed he has in his possession a number of "explicit videos" and "over 60 nude selfies" of Lawrence.
He may want to remind himself that the dude who leaked nude photos of Scarlett Johansson a few years back is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence.
