In a US presidential race like the one we're currently witnessing, you can't help but wish there was a candidate like Josiah Bartlet to enter the fray and put Donald Trump to the sword.
Unfortunately, good ol' Jed will only ever exist in TV land so we'll just have to settle for the man who played him during seven seasons of the West Wing giving us his opinion on the Republican nominee. Thankfully, he doesn't disappoint.
Martin Sheen recently sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to discuss his new movie, The Vessel and had plenty to say about the GOP candidate when asked for his thoughts on Trump.
"He makes me laugh, in that nobody seems to get it yet."
What is it exactly that we don't get?
"That he’s an empty-headed moron. That he has absolutely nothing to offer us. That he’s done his bidding and he has to be responsible for the damage he’s already done."
When pressed to sum up Trump in one word, Sheen came up with "Scary."
Despite this, Sheen feels that Trump has no chance of becoming President.
"He has no chance. None. I promise you. The fight hasn’t begun yet. I promise you. The tsunami that’s going to hit him has not reached the shore yet."
