The universes of Guardians of the Galaxy and Star Wars have collided and fans could not be more delighted.
The idea of uniting GOTG director James Gunn with Star Wars actor Mark Hamill first began last February when a fan asked Gunn if he could find a role for Hamill in the third volume of Guardians of the Galaxy.

Gunn replied that it should be easy to get together because Hamill was actually his neighbour in Malibu and Hamill expressed being ‘happy to do so’.
I think @HamillHimself lives around the corner from me in Malibu so he can just come over and we can talk about it over a cup of coffee.

Their schedules, unfortunately, kept them apart for a number of weeks until Gunn said he was back in Atlanta, prompting this exchange with Hamill.
