You may recall a story floating around the place that Princess Beatrice accidentally cut Ed Sheeran with a sword during a fake knighting ceremony. Well, it turns out that was all baloney.
None other than the witty, lovably self-deprecating James Blunt has revealed the whole thing was made up.
Speaking to ShortList, James explained what really happened that fateful night. "Ed was drunk, messing around, and he cut himself.
"We made a fancy story up; people fell for it. It was very embarrassing," he continued.
When pressed and asked how much of it was made up, James answered, "All of it."
"It's bizarre that people fell for it. I blame him. He must be desperate - he's trying to sell records," James joked.
Then again, maybe James is just covering for Beatrice? Sure you wouldn’t know…
