Jack Grealish has taken to Twitter to quell reports that he was committing his international future to the Boys in Green.
After reports emerged in The Irish Times that young Aston Villa star Jack Grealish looked set to commit his future to playing for the Republic of Ireland, he took to Twitter to calm things down a tad with his own view on the matter.
The report claimed that O'Neill's tactics and chats with the young man had paid off (and perhaps some over enthusiasm from the dramatic draw against Germany) and that he was set to feature for Ireland in a friendly against the United States later this year, and while that wouldn't mean that he would be tied to the country in the same way as a competitive appearance would, it would also be a clear signal of intent. That got most news outlets pretty excited, who began to run with the story that Grealish had made his decision.
However, the young star decided to take to Twitter and let people know that you can't believe everything you read.
Some stuff in the papers today about me that I didn't even no myself 🙈

That's obviously not a commitment either way on the issue, but here's hoping that the premature news hasn't hurt the recruitment drive rather than helped it.
