In a move that could either be a triumphant fairytale comeback or the biggest mistake of his career, Conor McGregor has been granted the rematch that he desired with Nate Diaz.
As you might recall, earlier this month the Dubliner suffered his first UFC defeat at the hands of American fighter Diaz - but he's going back for revenge at UFC 200 in Las Vegas on July 9th.
The welterweight rematch was confirmed by UFC boss Dana White last night, when he posted the below image to Twitter:

White said that he had tried to encourage McGregor to return to the featherweight division, but "he wants the fight at 170," he said. “Even his coach tried to get him to get off the rematch and off the 170-pound fight... but it’s what he wanted."
McGregor's Coach John Kavanagh took his usual philosophical approach in response to the news:
Win or Learn #UFC200 make mistakes, don't repeat them.

McGregor himself hasn't commented so far - nor has Diaz - but watch this space....
