Leo Varadkar may be the youngest Taoiseach in our nation's history, but that does not make him instantly recognisable to our nation's youth.
Emma Kelly is an Irish student, currently in Chicago on a J1. While working at her waitressing job, Varadkar came in looking for a table. Emma failed to recognise the Taoiseach, first asking him if he was Irish, then putting him on the wait list and finally seating him at a tiny table.

Luckily Leo took it well, even posing for a photo with Emma once she realised who he was.

Maybe it's nice for him to be able to walk down the street without getting recognised, but maybe he should get a badge or business card to push him up the reservation lists at restaurants?
