Leo Varadkar has been in the media spotlight since announcing that he was gay on RTE radio last week.
Varadkar has been pretty busy since, fielding questions from the media and getting on with his day to day work, but being a bit of a fitness fanatic, he's also been in demand from Ireland's first gay football and rugby teams.
The Emerald Warriors were in contact with him last week to let him know that if he wanted to join them for the season, they'd be happy to have him on board, and he seemed interested in the proposal.
@ewrfc Haven't played in two years and not as fit as I used to be. Where do you train?

They were joined by Ireland's first gay football team, the Dublin Devils, who were happy to offer Leo a bit of extra assistance in the fitness stakes, and would have him up to speed in no time, despite the fact that the Warriors were also offering him a crash course to get him in game shape.
@ewrfc @campaignforleo If you're looking for extra fitness work Leo, we train on Wednesdays on Pearse St!

Minister Varadkar has yet to commit himself to football or rugby, but we're sure he would make a great signing for whatever team he decides to join.

Both sides have plenty of history and prestige in the game, as the Emerald Warriors compete in the prestigious Bingham Cup as well as the Union Cup, while the Devils are celebrating their 10th anniversary and will be headed off to Hamburg to represent Ireland in the IGLFA Euro 2015.
