The good weather has brought a few tourists to these waters, it would seem.
A huge basking shark has been spotted in the waters near South Harbour in Cape Clear Island, Cork today as swimmers and kayakers were joined on a beautiful day to be out in the water.
The shark, according to Niamh Ní Dhrisceoil, swam among the group without causing them any trouble and they too left it in peace, simply enjoying the experience of sharing the water with such an impressive creature.
The basking shark is harmless to humans however according to BreakingNews, and is a regular around these parts when we get good weather, so don't go calling for a bigger boat just yet.
