And now for our 'Hero of the Week' award. This time it goes to both Nathan and Tom from boyband The Wanted who reveal how they came to the rescue of a fan who suffered a 'pretty frightening' seizure at Glasgow airport. Nawww. Never too big for their boots are these lads, unlike Nicki Minaj - the wagon - who'd probably have sued the poor fan for having said seizure in her presence.
Anyhoo, the story goes that the Warzone lads - 'cause they're used to warzones and what not, geddit? Do ya? Sorry - were straight on the scene after a girl fainted at the mere sight of them. The poor poppet then hit her head off a brick wall following their T in the Park performance last weekend. What makes me even more impressed with these lads is that they weren't just walking by, they were on their tour bus and bothered their arses to get out of it to help her. Such gentlemen.
I bet she was glad they came. OK, I'll get my coat.
Digital Spy report that it was Nathan who ordered the band's bus to stop and put the fan into the recovery position, while apparently it was Tom who phoned the emergency services. Tom Parker said: "It was as we pulled up at the airport that one of our fans collapsed on the floor... Nath stayed by her side while I called 999... It was pretty frightening, but anyone would have done the same."
Would they have? Eh, not necessarily so.
