Raul Meireles has always been a bit hot-headed, so he was lucky that the referee missed this obscene gesture.

Meireles' team-mate performed what can only be described as an act of stupidity as he leaned down to headbutt Thomas Muller after the German went down very easily, and he ended up seeing red for his troubles, with his team already down to ten men. 

There were few complaints about the red, seeing as what Pepe did was blatant and the referee was looking directly at it, but Meireles didn't seem to be too big a fan of it anyway, judging by this gesture. 

 

 

Safe to say it's been a bad day at the office for the Portuguese so far, and it's unlikely to get much better.
