Google Maps has given Failte Ireland their Google Trekker so they can finally capture some of the most beautiful remote spots from around the country.
If you didn't know what the Trekker was, join the queue because we were no the wiser. But, having furiously Googled it, we found out that it's the machine being used to finally capture all of the off-road views you just can't get on Google Street View.
The thing is basically a giant backpack with a massive camera attached. Don't believe us? Here, have a look for yourself.
As part of the Trekker Loan System, Google have given Failte Ireland the machine for the next few weeks so their employees can capture some of the more remote tourist attractions like Inishbofin, Achill, and the Blasket islands as well as Dun Aengus on Inish More.
Some of the other destinations includes places such as Sliabh Liag, Mizen Head and Croagh Patrick.
We can't wait to see what the images look like when they're done, and we'll be sure to have them up on site, so keep an eye out.
