Serving fashion in a new way, Gigi Hadid has softly launched her knitwear line called Guest in Residence by posting an Instagram photo-dump.
The 27-year-old model has strutted on the catwalk and posed on magazine covers wearing duds from some of the biggest brands in the world including Versace, Valentino, and Givenchy, to name but a few.
Now, she's creating a collection of her own — Guest In Residence, full of cosy, chunky knits and soft pyjama-esque loungewear that looks good enough to snuggle up on the couch in all weekend long.
In an aspirational-casual fashion, Gigi posted a selection of outtakes to Instagram yesterday; a team on the floor reviewing material samples, cardboard boxes and a coffeecup, piles of folded knitwear, and blurry selfies.
Her caption was effortlessly cool "been workin on something …. with love, @guestinresidence" accompanied by a little spool and a smiley face. Under her post, Hadid fans commented things like 'The Mayor of Snuggletown' and 'ready to be extra cosy'.
It's clear that Hadid is part of the contingent of us that have ridden the wave of cosy couture from our WFH eras for the past three years straight. Celebrities are all over the comfy, 'clean girl' aesthetic.
We've had Whitney Port come out with her loungewear company COZeCo and Hailey Bieber wore jeans to Coachella for cripes sake. With Gigi Hadid now contributing to casual wear domination, we're pretty sure this trend is going nowhere. Especially since it means we can wear trackies to work.
