UPDATED: Hello ladies. Were you thrilled at the prospect of the man in your life happily whisking the kiddies off to the panto  -largely because Georgia Salpa was due to appear in it? Well, hate to disappoint, but she's after pulling out. Which is so not like her. Perhaps she was feeling a little over exposed, hhhmm?!

Before you read the below press release, the parts of the angry producers are being played by TV3's Alan Hughes and his husband Karl Broderick.

"The producers of The Cheerios Panto Sleeping Beauty have been informed that Georgia Salpa has pulled out of this year's show at the Tivoli Theatre. They are, of course, very disappointed (largely because Alan Hughes appeared in Celebrity Salon with her and probably thought they were mates). Georgia’s representative (that being Andrea Roche, not Georgia herself) informed the producers that she feels she can no longer commit to the role. The producers have already been very accommodating to Georgia in her preparation for the role, that was specially written for her, and are angered at her sudden departure, which was beyond their control. Georgia was to share the part of The Queen Kardashian in Sleeping Beauty with Michele McGrath and Michele has now taken on the role for the entire run. Producers say that fans of the panto, now in its 14th year, can look forward to what they consider to be their biggest and best panto to date. Starring alongside one of Ireland's top models Michele, will be Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh, RTE's handsome Rob Ross and of course TV3's Alan Hughes. Ireland's latest boyband sensation ELEMENT will also be appearing in the glamorous production, written by Karl Broderick."

In short, Georgia was potentially missing too many paid jobs - that's probably why she was sharing the role with someone else in the first place. That or she just likes partaking in photo ops - and getting her name mentioned in radio ads - and then reneging on the fundamentals, like when she pulled out of the Catwalk to Kilimanjaro fundraiser. Which was in aid of the Make a Wish Foundation. Just saying.

UPDATE
: Very pressing news this morning - Andrea Roche's agency have come across with the reason behind the withdrawl - Georgia "didn't feel properly prepared for the role"... Georgia has since managed to get herself on to Twitter to say that she pretty much gifted Michele McGrath with her role, as opposed to the role they were sharing for some reason: "I'm really sad to say ive ad to pull out of the Panto. One of my best pal @MicheleMcGrathx is taking on my role she's going to be amazing... seen rehearsals 4 the Panto you guys will love it Alan Hughes, @MicheleMcGrathx r hilarious! Hopefully I can do it again in the future."

Best start learning your lines now, so.
