As we reported earlier in the week, Ronda Rousey suffered her first ever defeat in the UFC at the weekend.
She's had to endure the jeering of her enemies since then with former opponents and bizarrely, Donald Trump, all chiming in.
One would expect former nemesis Floyd Mayweather to jump on that bandwagon but his comments about the former Bantamweight World Champion have been surprising to say the least.
The two have had a rocky relationship in the past with both of them taking jabs at each other whenever the opportunity presents itself. However Mayweather has come to the defense of Rousey in her time of need,
"I don't think it's cool how everyone is trolling her on social media. Certain things you have to learn. People will love you on Friday and then Sunday morning, it's nothing but negative comments and people making jokes and people making fun about you, which I don't think is cool." he said.
Of course Floyd was quick to remind everyone that he personally has never felt the sting of defeat:
"I've never been on the other side, so I don't know how it feels."
Classic Floyd. Maybe this is the start of a beautiful friendship?
