Calisthenics, for those of you who don't know, is a form of exercise that uses very little equipment, and is a means to develop strength, fitness and flexibility through various body weight exercises married into rhythmical routines that often times resemble gymnastic exercises in its more advanced forms.
This Calisthenics crew from France call themselves the BarTigerzz, and they're bringing a whole other level of intensity to the sport. If you can ignore the slightly cringey attitude of the video, the stuff that these dudes are capable of is pretty remarkable. Upper body, and core strength, how are you fixed?
We featured Frank Medrano last month, the American athlete who has developed his own form of training that would echo many aspects of what the lads are displaying here. This is another example of how, if you're looking to get strong and fit, you don't necessarily need to be pushing weights in the gym. If you can find yourself a couple of well placed bars, that's pretty much all you need, and the strength you'll gain will be functional as well as far more impressive.
Take one look at the physiques of some of these blokes, and that's all you need to know about why this form of training should be considered by anyone looking to get truly ripped.
