Flying is a necessary evil. Nobody likes it, but sometimes there's just no other way to get to your destination. The whole experience can be made better or worse depending on the airline you choose and the delays you encounter. Nearly everyone has a horror story about being stuck sitting on a plane for three hours without explanation.
70 year old Eric Miller and his 25 year old daughter, Whitney, were understandably annoyed when their flight was delayed for 8 hours. They had boarded the flight that was due to fly from Orlando, Florida to St. Louis, Missouri but the plane never took off.
The pair claims they were complaining and swearing amongst themselves when the cabin crew approached them aggressively and removed them from the plane. A fellow passenger recorded the below video which seems to back up the Millers' story.
A spokesperson for the airline contradicted this version of events and issued a statement saying, "Our flight attendants are customer service and safety professionals who are trained to recognise situations that may impact comfort and safety of passengers and crew on-board our aircraft. The behaviours and comments exhibited by these passengers prior to departure were inappropriate; and as a result they were asked to leave our aircraft. Safety and security of our passengers and crew is our number one priority."
According to The Independent, The Millers left the flight and were given a full refund.
Can you imagine if there was an eight hour delay on a Ryanair flight from Dublin? There would definitely be more than two passengers swearing and it would take a lot less than eight hours for cursing to begin.
