Facebook are going to match aid donations made to help Nepal in the wake of the powerful earthquake that struck there over the weekend.
The social media giant has reached out to its users to donate to the aid appeal and help raise money for those affected by the earthquake that struck the region and has already claimed thousands of lives, and they plan to match the donations that they get through the site.
They have placed a small message at the top of everyone's NewsFeed, encouraging them to make a donation, and that they will match the amount that's pledged to get as much money as possible for the local search and rescue organisations.
The social network has stated that they "will match every dollar donated up to $2 million", which should be able to get the most urgent tools and resources to those who need them most in the wake of the tragedy.
