We're not usually ones for defending Justin Bieber, but he blatantly didn't compare himself to Princess Diana. Not directly, anyway.
The 20-year-old singer got himself swiftly on to Twitter after a photographer allegedly crashed into the back of his red Ferrari while chasing him through Los Angeles yesterday, and called for new laws to protect him and therefore celebrities at large/other road users from suffering the same fate as the late Princess of Wales, who died in a crash in Paris in 1997.
Shortly after the incident, he tweeted:
...I don't have a problem with Paparazzi but when they act recklessly they put us all in danger.

There should be laws against what I just experienced. We should have learned from the death of Princess Diana...

The Canadian star was driving his Ferrari in West Hollywood on Tuesday afternoon when he reportedly noticed the photographer following him in a Prius. Hey, he may be reckless, but at least he's environmentally aware.
A source told TMZ that the singer slammed on his breaks and the paparazzo rear-ended him. No one was injured in the crash, but Justin's car was scratched.
Bieber has himself been accused of driving recklessly several times in the past, and was issued a stern warning by police officers in Beverly Hills last week, who blasted him for "putting other people's safety in jeopardy" after he was captured on video illegally driving his three-wheeled motorcycle on the sidewalk to avoid traffic...
OK, so no one's perfect - certainly not Justin - but he didn't compare himself to Diana. Directly. In fact, for the first time (probably ever) the chungfella's got a point.
