For the couple that likes to spend time together watching watching Game of Thrones®, why not swap the sofa for the real thing and escape to the world of Westeros, by heading North and experiencing the real filming locations in Northern Ireland? You'll be surprised by how easy it is to go from Dublin to Dragonstone or from Wicklow to Winterfell. You might even catch a cast member, with many frequently spotted around Belfast.

For the ultimate immersive experience, book into one of the Game of Thrones inspired tours which will take you on a coach from either Dublin or Belfast, bringing you on a trek into the thick of Westeros. Walk from Winterfell to one of Walder Frey's Twins, past Robb Stark's Riverlands Camp and more, before a visit into Winterfell itself where you can take archery lessons while dressed in the Stark family clothing and feel like a true King in the North.

If you're more eco-friendly and fancy even more fresh air, you can take a cycling tour around the filming locations and visit both Lannister and Stark Camps as well as recreate your own Thrones moments.

While you're at it, you can take in one of the many coastal adventures that Northern Ireland has to offer. Many famous scenes from the show were filmed along the stunning coastlines of the North, such as the caves at Cushendun and the cliffs at Larrybane Head.

The nearby Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is a must do for all thrill seekers and although filming may not have taken place here, a visit to the Giant's Causeway, the famous basalt rock formation that people come from all over the world to see, is a must do.
