And, for once, it's not a pesky asteroid causing the apocalypse. Or zombies. Or a plague of locusts. This time around, the world is going to end by way of fire.
One religious group in America have suggested that the recent Super Blood Moon is a sign we're all going to die by fire today. Seemingly October 7th "is the day that God has spoken of: in which, the world will pass away."
The group, which was founded by Chris McCann, claim that the earth will the world will be "gone forever, annihilated... by fire." It's not a notion McCann has come to by himself; it's stated in the Bible.
According to The Guardian: "The eBible Fellowship, an online affiliation headquartered near Philadelphia, has based its prediction of an October obliteration on a previous claim that the world would end on 21 May 2011. While that claim proved to be false, the organization is confident it has the correct date this time."
McCann said: “God destroyed the first Earth with water, by a flood, in the days of Noah. And he says he’ll not do that again, not by water. But he does say in 2nd Peter 3 that he’ll destroy it by fire." He then also added: "There’s a strong likelihood that this will happen. Which means there’s an unlikely possibility that it will not."
