It's only been a few weeks since Elton John wrapped up his final 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road', but the music legend's semi-retirement is off to a bumpy start.
The 76-year-old suffered a fall at his villa in Nice in the south of France, according to reports - but although he was rushed to hospital in nearby Monaco, he is said to have been treated for 'minor injuries'.
A rep for the 'Rocket Man' musician said in a statement: "We can confirm that following a slip yesterday at his home in the south of France, Elton visited the local hospital as a precautionary measure.
"Following check ups, he was immediately discharged this morning and his now back at home and in good health."
John had previously suffered a bad fall in 2021 that caused him to postpone his farewell tour, and led to him having a hip replacement.
In recent weeks, he and husband David Furnish have enjoyed spending time with some celebrity friends at their villa, including the likes of Liz Hurly and her son Damian.
Get well soon, Elton!
