If you're on Twitter and you like dogs, you're more than likely already following the hilarious WeRateDogs.
It's an account that invites people to send in pictures of their dog and offers a very amusing take/rating on the pooch, often with deliberate misspellings and its own dog-related lexicon. See below for an example:

With 5.6 million followers, it's by no means a little-known profile - which makes the below all the more puzzling.
Either Ellen DeGeneres and/or her team genuinely weren't aware of WeRateDogs, or they were and decided to attempt to rip it off anyway.
In any case, she was called out in quite an amusing fashion...
