With the media storm that's engulfed Conor McGregor in the past day since his opponent at UFC 196 Rafael Dos Anjos pulled out, it's easy to forget that there was a great honour being bestowed on the Crumlin native this week.
McGregor is gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated this month.
Unfortunately for McGregor he's not the first Irish man to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated. In fact it transpired that McGregor is actually the 4th Irishman to make the cover.
Ronnie Delaney was the first in 1959.
With Eamon Coughlan following twenty years later.
Rory McIllroy became the third in 2014.
In fact the great Eamonn Coughlan has made the cover on no less than three occasions.

That said, he could've been told this by someone at the magazine. In which case they need firing.
