Yes, we know it's only September but this is the type of early Christmas news story we can get on board with.
It's been announced that there's a 50ft tall Christmas tree on its way to Dublin this year that will be set up around the Custom House Quarter as part of a new Christmas festival.
The tree will rival that of the famous New York Rockefeller centre that you know from all the movies. (It was where Kevin's mom find him at the end of Home Alone 2, for exampe).
The festival, called I Believe, runs from 26 November until 23 December in the Custom House area and will focus on supporting Irish businesses, traders, craftspeople, producers and charities.
Lord Mayor of Dublin, Críona Ní Dhálaigh, said "It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to put Dublin on the European ‘Christmas market map’ and to showcase some of the country’s leading food, drink, craft and horticulture producers."
She added; "Custom House Quarter is a unique venue, which is close to the city centre and extremely well-served by public transport, with numerous buses, LUAS and Dart right on their doorstep, so I have no doubt that it will do fantastically".
According to organisers, the event will bring €8.4 million to the economy, create around 230 jobs, and attract over 10,000 visitors every day.
