Estimates of today's Right2Water demonstration place it anywhere between 50,000 to over 100,000 attendees.
The march, which went from the Garden of Rembrance to Kildare Street, was in protest of water charges being brought in by the Dail.
Protesters marched through the City Centre and effectively brought the Luas and Dublin Bus to a halt, taking up much of O'Connell Street and beyond.
Bus services are just now returning to normal, however delays are expected for the next couple of hours.
It's unknown precisely how many attended as Gardai have refused to place estimates, however sources say that the march took almost two hours to pass.
It's not yet known if the government will respond to the protests, which some believe to be the largest demonstrations in the city since the Iraqi War March of 2003.
