As you may have heard, Ireland are set to face Denmark in the play-off for next year's World Cup in Russia.
Ireland will travel to Copenhagen on November 11th, and then Denmark will play the second leg away here in Dublin on the 14th.
Needless to say, fans on both sides will be travelling through the airports in both cities, and the Twitter accounts of Copenhagen and Dublin Airports indulged in some top-class banter and good-natured ribbing yesterday.
Let's hope everyone's still feeling as friendly come the morning of November 15th...
Hi @CPHAirports; get ready for a green invasion. It's payback time for your Viking raiders. #WorldCup2018 #COYBIG pic.twitter.com/cG9owW8kV6

.@CPHAirports You have a point, but it's the legacy of invasion. PS, Can we have the stuff from our monasteries back? #COYBIG #WCQ pic.twitter.com/KPrnAG84KZ

Don't worry about the old cups we might have 'stolen' - worry about the one we're going to steal now #WorldCup18 @DBUfodbold
— Copenhagen Airport (@CPHAirports) October 18, 2017
.@CPHAirports We'll see about that. Ireland's changed a lot since you stole the old cups. And less of that "might have" revisionism. #COYBIG pic.twitter.com/aTNSrVkwlt

4-3... Just saying ;-) @DBUfodbold @FIFAWorldCup #WCQ

.@CPHAirports is that 2/3 of your formation? @FAIreland played @DBUfodbold 11 times in competitive games. Ire 4 wins, Den 2 wins, 5 draws.
