Let's be honest, the feedback hasn't been amazing.
Here is an assortment of tweets doing the round since her antics in Istanbul. You can subject yourself to the video here.
Piers Morgan was obviously quick to start the bandwagon as he's secretly fancied Madonna for decades, to the point of "banning" her from his plethora of shows. He offered the question: "Most embarrassing, cringe-worthy, desperate moment in the history of music?"
That's a toughie, Morgan, there's so many to choose from. Personally my vote goes to Kelly and Ozzy Osbourne's duet Changes.
Anyway, some of the faceless drones on planet Twitter had these thoughts to add: "Isn't Madonna a little too old to be flashing nip on stage? With her kids in the background (as they're performing with her on tour?)" Also focussing on the age side of things: "Why is Madonna still showing off her tits? No, it's not sexy to see a woman who could be my grandma whipping her nipple around."
To be honest, yes, the fact she's over 50 and "whipping" them about isn't great, but I'd be happy if I'd never seen hers, or anyone else's nipples in my lifetime, irrespective of age. Let's face it, upon closer inspection, nipples are not that attractive. Next time, really stare at one and you'll see what I mean.
Another one had a more pertinent point (pun partially intended): "Madonna last January: "You don't have to show nipples to be interesting. It doesn't necessarily mean you're cutting edge if you do, right?"
Christina Applegate then summed it up nicely with: "Reading twitter this am and there r all these tweets about Madonna and her nipple flash. And we are shocked because...?"
We're not shocked. We're just a little jaded. Much like Madonna's nipple.
