The Colin Farrell post has set the tone this Friday. And why not, it's miserable outside, we need something to keep the eyeballs warm.
It all kicked off during a recent match between LA Galaxy match and the San Jose Earthquakes (seriously). Sam Cronin of the Earthquakes pulled a charlie horse and was effectively time wasting, so Beckham - who was waiting to presumably take a throw in - hoofed the ball 30 yards up the pitch so it bounced off Cronin's legs. Needless to say, Sam made a quick recovery and started charging towards Beckham. Then the ref gave Golden Balls, not the time waster, a yellow card.
Cue lots of tanned people in shorts tussling, and the introduction of a concerned mascot half way through.
I've watched it several times now with the sound down. You know, for fear you might hear David squeaking at some point. Would totally ruin the ambience.
