We've said it before and we'll say it again - ya can't beat live TV.
A congressman appeared to lose a tooth during a press conference that was broadcast on Fox News.
The man's name is Louie Gohmert and he's a Republican representative from Texas.
Gohmert was voicing his opposition to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which proposes to rename a number of military bases and other government properties which are currently named after Confederate leaders.
But people were distracted from the rep's speech as a tooth appeared to fall from his mouth mid-sentence.
The close-up of the moment is even more disturbing.

Twitter had a field day with it.
Some pointed to the fact that Gohmert publicly refused to wear a mask during this pandemic, and tested positive for coronavirus last summer. While there have been reports, such as from the NY Times, that some people with pre-existing dental issues complained of losing teeth after contracting COVID-19, there isn't evidence-backed research to link the phenomena yet.

i don't know how to say this without sounding sarcastic but there is truly nothing that i love more than watching our geriatric leaders and lawmakers decompose before our very eyes https://t.co/8ejtiJ48Vv
