Cillian Murphy is capitalising on the profile boost given by his recent win at the Oscars - but growing up in Cork, he probably never expected to be modelling for Versace.
Murphy, along with Anne Hathaway, are the faces of the iconic fashion house's new 'Icons' collection, and Donatella Versace herself has been posting behind-the-scenes footage of the campaign shoot.
It's fair to say that the actor exudes a certain je-ne-sais-quoi that could only be described as 'moody Cork feen'.
And it seems as though he's not taking it too seriously, either, describing images of himself as looking 'like a mugshot from the '50s' and 'a bit of a Bryan Ferry vibe.'
Versace herself said "When I saw Cillian on the set of the shoot, I saw the Versace man in him right away. Strong, direct and iconic! Cillian is one of today’s best actors and I admire and respect him so much. I hope you all love the campaign as much as we loved shooting it."
The official video reel also features a snippet of 'Boys in the Better Land', a song from his fellow Irishmen Fontaines DC.
