Chrissy Teigen has had her fair share of tragedy in the past, after she sadly suffered a pregnancy loss at 20 weeks in 2020.
However, the model and TV personality, who is married to singer and actor John Legend, had happier news to share yesterday when she revealed the birth of their fourth baby.
The baby was born by surrogate to a woman called Alexandra, and Teigen paid tribute to her on a social media post announcing the birth of Wren Alexander Stephens - his middle name a tribute to their surrogate.
The new addition is a brother for Luna (7), Miles (5) and Esti, who was born just five months ago.
In the post, Teigen explained that following the loss of their baby in 2020, who they named Jack, she wanted to try carrying her own child one last time - which resulted in the conception of Esti via IVF. At the same time, they had established contact with their surrogate and after making embryos, also decided to pursue that route - meaning that both she and Teigen were pregnant for some of the same period.
"As we crept toward the safe zone of my own pregnancy, we were overjoyed to learn Alexandra had become pregnant with a little boy," she wrote. "Our little boy."
She continued: "We ate hot pot to celebrate, watched 'Vanderpump Rules' with our growing bellies, our families blending into one for the past year. Just minutes before midnight on June 19th, I got to witness the most beautiful woman, my friend, our surrogate, give birth amidst a bit of chaos, but with strength and pure joy and love."
