Chris Brown's probation has been revoked, meaning he could be going away for a very long (but unfortunately not long enough) time.

The 24-year-old who is still on probation for assaulting Rihanna in 2009 was in court earlier yesterday to hear a judge make the decision, but instead of sending him into custody he was released and ordered to appear in court in August, according to TMZ. The judge will then use next month's to-be-determined court date to decide whether Brown is guilty of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's allegations that he violated his probation.

Brown faces up to four years in prison if he is found to have violated his probation, but will be able to respond against the claims in the coming month before the court date.

The District Attorney filed a request to revoke the singer's probation after he was recently charged for allegedly leaving the scene of a crime without exchanging proper information and for driving without a valid licence, in connection with a minor car crash in Los Angeles.

The other driver in the incident however suddenly has dropped her charges against him, claiming that there was no significant injury or damage to herself or her car, which is all very coincidental now don't you think? However the LA City Attorney still want to charge Brown for driving without a valid license, and there's enough ammo for the original judge in the Rihanna case to trigger a probation violation and send Brown away. Not that we're crossing anything.
