OMG. Guess who the next guest on Glee will be? Cheryl freakin' Cole, that's who. Got a taste for the oul acting in What To Expect When You're Expecting and now she's back for more. I for one can't wait to hear how they play around with her voice in the studio to make it sound almost nothing like her.
Reported by the Daily Star newspaper, the news that the 29 year old pop star will definitely be given a cameo role has been confirmed by Glee's resident baddy, Jane Lynch who plays coach Sue Sylvester on the hit TV show.
'There's been talk on set of Cheryl appearing for a year or so, but it's set to happen now. Matthew Morrison has spoken very highly of her [after she appeared in his film 'What To Expect When You're Expecting'] and the younger guys on set are keen to have her on, for obvious reasons... Matthew's chatted to her (oh we BET he has) and she seems keen (of COURSE she does, it's another shot at the US). Cheryl's the perfect 'Glee' fit, (really?) she can sing (she can?), she can dance and she looks good (OK fine, we can't argue with that). It would be cool if she played herself (cause she has soooo much personality she doesn't need a character. Read: she can't act)' said Lynch.
What does sound interesting though is that Jane also joked that her alter-ego Sue would be far more harsh on Chezza than Simon Cowell ever was (remember when he famously sacked her off the US X Factor?). "She might be used to getting treated like a princess but Sue Sylvester doesn't make exceptions for anybody. If Cheryl starts acting like a diva, she'll see that Sue is meaner than Simon Cowell.'
So, could this be the start of a long and lustrious acting career for the Say My Name singer?
