Like it or not, the celebrity event of the year is undoubtedly going to be the wedding of former Suits actor Meghan Markle to the sixth in line to the British throne, Prince Harry - so it makes complete and utter sense that Lifetime are making a movie out of it.
While the trailer itself promises nothing less than the kind of bland and uneventful filmmaking you'd expect from a hastily compiled cash-in, there's enough going on in it that it's now apparently caught the attention of Buckingham Palace.
Per a report by Vanity Fair, Queen Elizabeth's press office is very worried about a sex scene in the film involving the couple. Well, that's according to the film's director, Menhaj Huda, who is clearly not making this up to drum up press attention for his film and how dare you for even suggesting it.
According to Huda, his source is on this is air-tight. "My wife’s best friend has been dating the press secretary of the palace." Like we said. Air. Tight.
The film lands on Lifetime on May 13th, just six days before the actual wedding itself.
