So now we know how Bono has been keeping himself busy while recovering from back surgery which prompted the postponement of a series of U2 dates worldwide - he's been hanging out with Billionaires on their personal yachts. Bono, sporting his wraparound shades (seriously, has anyone ever seen Bono's eyes? What's he trying to hide?), had lunch off the French coast in the Mediterranean with Russian oil tycoon and owner of Chelsea Football Club Roman Abramovich, on a yacht owned by Larry Ellison, CEO of the software company Oracle.
One thing though; does anyone care to suggest what it is they may have been talking about? Abramovich, Ellison and Bono contain among them the power to pretty much do anything they please and I just hope they use their power for good and not evil. If this were a movie, a morally-questionable billionaire oil magnate teaming up with a squeaky-clean politico-musician would make interesting villains in a new Bond movie. That's probably not the case though. Sigh.
