The MTV Movie Awards took place last night, and amidst the usual glitz and glamour, there was a heartwarming moment or two.
One of them was provided by 'Black Panther' actor Chadwick Boseman, who picked up the gong for 'Best Hero' at the ceremony.
However, when taking to the stage - and after thanking the fans for making 'Black Panther' such a success - he said "Receiving an award for playing a superhero is amazing; but it's even greater to acknowledge the heroes that we have in real life."
He went on to single out James Shaw Jr. - the man known as the 'Waffle House hero', who stopped a mass shooting by disarming a gunman at a Waffle House in Tennessee in April - and who was in attendance at the awards.
"This is gonna live at your house," he said, handing Shaw the award as the crowd gave him a standing ovation.

This was an uplifting moment right when America really needed it. Chadwick Boseman gave the Best Hero Award he won for Black Panther to James Shaw Jr., the Waffle House shooting hero, who was in attendance at the #MTVAwards. Gotta love both of those dudes! pic.twitter.com/eXUcETakxx
